What is going on in that city?

This is a true story based on my experience living in the center of Silicon Valley. I have lived in the city for nearly a decade. From my experience, I learned the significant but slow changes after 911. Sun Micro Systems lost some workers on the airplane as it did not come back to the West Coast. Some high-tech companies have been get contract from the government as they are capable of creating tools for official use.

After 911, we heard that the firing workers while security guards on the site is what companies might do for protecting the employers. There was big debate on a pedophilia as the police department discovered an old guy with a tons of record for child molesting. Then there was a issue of a Black sex-offender moved out from prison and lived in a motel for temporary residence. We have Meagan's law but what happened to the other sex-offenders and child molesters in the city? It seemed these two figures were only the big criminals.

The local police shot suspects quite often as I have read the article of suspect dead on their homes or on the chase in newspaper. It often happened very close to the state university campus. If I did not know about the organized stalking, I could think that the criminals are so dangerous. The same police department could not find a suspect for crimes like shot to death on the corner of a stripped shopping mall.

I was teaching the preparation for citizenship exam for Chinese immigrants in the volunteer site next to the newly built city hall. The place is across from the university campus. What I have seen in the site was the conflict between Chinese and Vietnamese elderly. When I was taking the anthropology class which required volunteer work, we were warned that that place has ethnic conflict because of the Vietnam War. It was the year that Chinese made huge anti-Japanese protesting in the world wide. What I have sensed was some kind of divide between me and the people I was teaching for the exam. Later I asked to change the site by noticing the difficulty to get along with Chinese elderly. Eventually, I was asked to visit another site and I received an award there. Later, the volunteer coordinator and the professor teaching the class asked me to have a meeting to discus about the issue, which I refused as they already knew the ethnic conflict as they talked about it in the class. After that, both professor and the volunteer coordinator worked on organized stalking on me. It seemed they tried to hide the incident by claiming me as crazy. I don't mind if Americans get these Chinese immigrant voters with ethnic bias. Nearby wealthy city has a Chinese immigrant mayor working in the community college, so it would be only a time issue that these elderly would vote for Asian candidate. While the volunteer coordinator discriminating someone who received award from the volunteer work, she invited students to the volunteer meeting in the city library. Guess who is really behind of the volunteering group.

The university student won the hot dog eating championship in NY. The last winner was Japanese guy, a professional food eater.

The city hall has a connection with the university student 'activist.' They call the program 'Nuts and Bolts' to explain how the city is concerned about the activism. As the program is developed by the city, it is about how to keep the city safe from the threat. In other word, this is about student surveillance program. What they do is to collect the suspecting activities of university students in the name of security. However, they ignore the freedom like human rights and student rights which often the normal activists stand for. They use the word, 'activist,' with their own meaning.

The US president visited United Defense in 2004, and now they have Bae Systems on the same address. They are very close to the city airport. The university has own small jet there.
